The WeightChart approach to wellness
Our approach is based on three steps outlined by government sources:
1: Eating Right
According to the
U.S. Department of Agriculture, a healthy eating plan should supplement
various fruits and vegetables with a few lean proteins, while consuming only a low
amount of fats and sugars.
3: Tracking Your Progress
According to the
National Institutes of Health (NIH), "Record keeping is one of the most
successful behavioral techniques for weight loss and maintenance."
Steps 1 and 2 are up to you, we can help with 3
We're not going to tell you how to eat or exercise, but we will provide tools to
help you make sure your efforts are working.
Is your diet or exercise routine working? Track it and find out.
WeightChart provides instant visualizations, calculations, and summaries, it's a
kind of biofeedback for your wellness. With such a rich source of information you
will be able to quickly hone in on what works and dosen't work for your wellness
progress. For some people this feedback is enough to help them make the daily choices
that improve their wellness, without a complicated diet or exercise plan.
Your friend through thick and thin.
We'll do our best to help you stay motivated with milestone goals, and email reminders.
You can group together with friends, coworkers, and family for encouragement and
fun with weight challenges and competitions. We're not here to push a fad diet or
some abstract rewards system, we exist to help you discover more about yourself
and what wellness approach best fits your life.
Your body's new long term memory.
Don't make the same diet mistake twice, keep a wellness record with us and benefit
from a perfect memory. You'll pinpoint the things that cause you to get off track
and be prepared for monthly and seasonal cycles. You'll see how your sleep, diet,
mood, and weight relate to each other. If you have other important factors to track,
like blood pressure, workout stats, and blood sugar levels we can help with these
as well.
